Upgrade Galaxy Ace S5830 (Froyo 2.2.1 Asia atau Gingerbread 2.3.3 Eropa)

Seperti judul di atas, proses upgrade untuk Samsung Galaxy Ace ke Firmware Froyo Asia (terbaru Froyo 2.2.1) atau Gingerbread Eropa (2.3.3). Perlu dingatkan di sini bahwa jika ada masalah resikonya ditanggung sendiri. Satu lagi saya hanya menerjemahkan ulang dari forum xda.

Sebelum melakukan proses upgrade silahkan baca dulu postingan di sini untuk ngeroot Galaxy Ace. Jika sudah root Ace kamu silahkan ikuti prosedur di bawah ini.

A. Download file-file berikut untuk upgrade ke stock firmware (untuk Asia terbaru masih Froyo 2.2.1 dan untuk Eropa sudah 2.3.3):

• ODIN 4.38: multiupload
• Firware terbaru dan OPS file: samfirmware (register dulu untuk download)

B. Download Custom ROM (Gingerbread Eropa 2.3.3)

• VillainROM 1.0: direct download
• Cooper_v1.0.ops (alternatif link), file ops sama dengan atas.
  

C. Prosedur Flashing Stock Firmware

1. Matikan HP dan lepas SIM dan eksternal SD Card.
2. Ekstrak file-file yang didownload di atas.
3. Buka Odin 4.38 (jangan konek HP dulu)
   
4. Di 'Option' biarkan 'One Package' tanpa dicentang, centang 'Auto Reboot' dan 'Protect OPS'
   
5. Pilih file-file berikut: OPS-OPS, Boot-APBOOT, Phone-MODEM, PDA-CODE, CSC-CSC (pastikan nama file yang dipilih sesuai dengan kotak yang tersedia)
6. Tekan 'Volume Down + Home + Power' di HP untuk masuk ke Download mode.
   
7. Konek HP lewat USB ke PC (Pastikan Odin mengenali HP, di COM pertama Odin berwarna kuning)
   
8. Tekan 'Start' dan tunggu sampai proses selesai (bisa sampai 5 menit)
9. Jika proses berhasil, akan muncul tampilan di Odin 'PASS' dengan background biru.
10. Diskonek dan matikan HP untuk memasukkan lagi SD Card dan SIM kamu.
11. Proses selesai dan untuk root lagi baca di sini.
    

D. Prosedur Flashing Custom Firmware (VillainROM 1.0)

1. Matikan HP dan lepas SIM dan eksternal SD Card.
2. Ekstrak file AceVillainROM.zip.
3. Buka Odin 4.38 (jangan konek HP dulu)
4. Tekan OPS dan pilih Cooper_v1.0.ops di atas
5. Tekan BOOT dan pilih 'APBOOT_S5830XXKPE_CL185571_REV03_user_mid_true.tar.md5'
6. Untuk Phone pilih 'MODEM_S5830XXKPE_CL185571_REV03.tar.md5'
7. Untuk PDA pilih 'AceVR.tar.md5'
8. Jika ada 2 Pop-up pesen error yang menyatakan 'invalid binary', abaikan (Normal)
9. Tekan Start dan tunggu proses selesai (akan otomatis reboot)
